"Scenic designer Ryan McGettingan has once again provided a perfect backdrop to this story, using every inch of the stage to create various story components, from dirt to bulkhead to stairs to all the various unusual musical instruments required by the script (including the use of both a typewriter and a bicycle). And Maura Hanlon’s direction is deft, subtle, and expressive." - PTownie

"It’s a story within a story. A writer is on deadline and the pressure of meeting said deadline (“yes, it’s a punny phrase”) reveals his childhood fear of the man down the lane. “Your deadline’s approachin’, the contract encroachin’.” Are the rumors true? Should I make the rumors true, questions the writer.

The cast draws us in as they relate the tale in song, pantomime and limited dialogue with a score of detailed props. It’s truly “musical story theater,” as director Mo Hanlon calls it. The three talented brothers ingeniously perform and sing along with actors Jess Andra and Brian Lore Evans, with an incredible production team: Ryan McGettigan (set design), Phil Kong (lighting), and Robin McLaughlin (costume design).

McGettigan’s set is fascinating, filled with intricate props, some used, some left to gather dust. The “Cindy” doll was especially noteworthy. Seamus Devine’s use of some of these props as percussion implements was captivating" -Cape Cod Chornicle
